Andy Hines is Director of Custom Projects at Social Technologies, bringing together the experience he earned as an academic, organizational, and consulting futurist. He is also currently an Adjunct Professor teaching futures studies at the University of Houston MS Program in Futures Studies, whose program he graduated from in 1990.
Prior to joining Social Technologies, he enjoyed earlier careers as a consulting and then organizational futurist. He became a partner with Coates & Jarratt, Inc., a think tank and consulting firm that specialized in the study of the future. He was also Futurist & Senior Ideation Leader at Dow Chemical with a mission of using futures tools and knowledge to turn ideas into new business opportunities. Before that, he established and ran the Global Trends Program for the Kellogg Company.
He has co-authored three books -- Thinking About the Future: Guidelines for Strategic Foresight (Social Technologies, 2007),” 2025: Science and Technology Reshapes US and Global Society (Oak Hill, 1997) and Managing Your Future as an Association (ASAE, 1994). He has also authored dozens of articles, speeches, and workshops, including the 2003 Emerald Literati Awards' Outstanding Paper accolade for best article published in Foresight for “An Audit for Organizational Futurists.”

Stephen Aguilar-Millan is the Director of Research at the European Futures Observatory, an independent not-for-profit organisation based in the UK, and is a Director of The Greenways Partnership, a firm of consulting futurists based in the UK. Stephen is a member of the Royal Economics Society, a fellow of the RSA, and a member of a number of other professional bodies in the UK.

Natalie Ambrose is a staff Futurist and Leader of the Futures Expeditions program at Social)Technologies, a leading foresight consultancy in Washington, DC.
Natalie has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, specializing in issues research and competitive intelligence, trendspotting, marketing, strategic planning, and new business development. She holds an MBA in International Marketing from Thunderbird Graduate School, and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Duke University.

Peter is an Associate Professor of Human Sciences and Chair of the graduate program in Studies of the Future at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He specializes in teaching, developing futures methodologies, facilitating group scenario development and strategic planning and in public speaking. Peter graduated from St. Louis University with a bachelor's degree in philosophy with minors in math and physics and from Michigan State University with master's and doctoral degrees in sociology, focusing on social change and organizational theory and political sociology. |

Riel is a specialist in long-run strategic thinking whose work has concentrated on assessing and directing the potential for socio-economic transformation in the private and public sectors. His publications address many issues, such as futures methodology and the design of scenario processes for strategic decision making, to the future of money, education, the internet, knowledge society, the public sector. |

Randal Moss is the Manager of Futuring and Innovation Based Strategies for the American Cancer Society. He oversees rapid prototyping of programs, environmental scans analysis, and future scenario development.
Randal focuses on guiding the Society’s Social Networking Media, and Virtual World strategies. He is the curator of the National Voluntary Health Association Innovations workgroup which evaluates the impact of technology on the business models of the nation’s largest health associations and societies.
He has received recognition from the National Human Services Assembly, The E-Philanthropy Foundation, and the State of Play conference for his work in virtual community development. Randal earned his MTA from George Washington University in 2001.

With 20 years experience as director and senior strategist for large corporations throughout Asia, Europe, and the U.S., Joan cultivated a strong interdisciplinary approach and long-term perspective, which she applies with futures methodologies to provide business intelligence. Stacey Aldrich is the Deputy State Librarian for the California State Library. She has been a librarian for 16 years with a focus of helping librarians to think proactively about creating their futures. Stacey has played an active role in developing programs, conferences, and discussions to generate conversation and action in the world of libraries.
Stacey also spent six months working with Coates & Jarratt, Inc., a futuring think tank in D.C. honing her futurist thinking skills. She continues to consult and participate in speaking engagements nationwide around libraries and future thinking. |

Derek Woodgate is President of The Futures Lab, Inc., based in Austin, TX, and is a practicing Futurist and founding member of the Association of Professional Futurists.
Derek set up The Futures Lab at the end of 1997, having previous experience as an executive on the board of two major corporations (Vivat and VF Europe), with responsibility for long-term global strategy. In addition, Derek has over 15 years Senior Vice-President-level management and operational responsibilities in international businesses and a 9 year spell with the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office in political and economic postings.
