Written by Verne Wheelwright
Wednesday, 01 February 2006
Verne Wheelwright's article on Personal Futures appeared in the Feb 2006 issue of FO/futureorientation , published in both English and Danish.

By way of synopsis, the piece is based on the premise that: "Methods of foresight and future studies are no longer limited to business, government and other organizations. The study of personal futures is still in its infancy, but holds potential not only for you but also for your company. Wheelwright then describes how individuals can learn how they can be their own futurist through personal research, and thereby achieve their preferred future."

The article explains the use of life stages, personal domains (driving forces) and life events to conduct personal research in preparation for the application of futures methods including scenario development and personal strategic planning.
