Natalie Ambrose is a staff Futurist and Leader of the Futures Expeditions program at Social)Technologies, a leading foresight consultancy in Washington, DC. Natalie has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, specializing in issues research and competitive intelligence, trendspotting, marketing, strategic planning, and new business development. She holds an MBA in International Marketing from Thunderbird Graduate School, and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Duke University.
Along with assisting with various research and consulting assignments for Social)Technologies, Natalie helps to manage Futures Expeditions — their most purely experiential futures-program consisting of customized, immersive events and excursions, designed to give participants a hands-on understanding of important trends changing today’s business and consumer climate. Prior to working at Social)Technologies, Natalie was Director of Emerging Issues & Strategic Planning at the Council on Foundations in Washington, DC, the professional membership association for philanthropic and corporate foundations; lived and worked in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as Marketing Director for the mobile telecommunications company SkyTel International; was Marketing & Sales Manager for Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America for Providence, Rhode Island-based Cross writing instruments. Natalie has also worked in both marketing and project management for the National Academy of Sciences and McCann-Erickson Caribbean. Along with her board participation for the Association of Professional Futurists, Natalie is also a member of the National Press Club, the World Future Society, and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals. Besides the future, her passions include travel, reading and writing, bookstores, and boats! |
